Weddings - Birthdays - Anniversaries - Funerals (Just Kidding)
Every Uncanny Cake that is designed and shaped is genuinely unique. Not just because there are a plethora of flavors,
shapes, textures, accents, frostings, and toppings, but because they are hand crafted and fashioned with focus specifically
for the setting, occasion, and client.
Consultation:
This is the discovery stage. You allow me to know your must-have's, what the occasion is for, and the pressing details
and scope of the cake. Make sure to address anything to avoid as well
Confirmation:
The confirmation step is all about making sure that the details are correct and approved before the initial prep work starts
and the invoice goes out
Bake:
Let the baking begin! After I ensure that the preparation is finished, the nitty-gritty starts. This is the
most intense step due to the precision and focus it requires. I try to send you a few photos along the way to keep
you in the loop
Delivery:
Whether it's pickup or delivery, I make sure that you inspect and approve. While little adjustment can be made at
this point, it's generally not a great idea. Upon delivery, the goods are expected to be paid in full
They vary from difficulty, time frame, and complexity. While that is very general answer, I've done very simple well
planned-out cakes for $100, and I've done complicated super time-sensitive cakes for $1,200. This is why the consultation
and confirmation phases are so important!
Unfortunately if I have started the bake phase, I will still have to charge you up to but not exceeding 50% of the final
cost. This is to cover time and ingredients. Up until that time, I still of course allow changes and altercations,
however the less of those that there are, the smoother everything ends up.
I do deliver, but only within a 15 mile radius. I also charge a delivery fee of $20 to $50 depending on the complexity
of the cake. If you imagine a 4-tier wedding cake, that would be on the higher end of the delivery fee. Most
cakes are the base $20. Because I do charge a delivery fee, most clients opt to pick it up themselves at a scheduled
time.
I can in certain circumstances. When working with ingredients that don't react in the expected ways, it can cause
inconsistencies in the final product. Because my goal is to provide you with a deliverable with my standard level
of quality, I will most often times refer you to one of the fabulous gluten free or vegan bakers in the area.
I have quite a bit of experience with cupcakes. Donuts, croissants, danishes, and other pastries aren't my jam.
But if you sign up for my newsletter, I'll be sure to let you know if I start to create them!

First let me say, that I love cake. I've always found the combination edible beauty to be so intriguing. One
reason is because of the event that cake usually represents. A birthday, a graduation, a wedding, all very special
days, for the most special people in our lives. For me, the importance is in celebrating these moments and making
it exceptionally memorable. My mission is to just add a little bit of happiness to top those moments off.
